petition from Human rights Defenders and the oil affected communities against harassment

Petition from Human rights Defenders and the oil affected communities against harassment and intimidation by security agencies in the district of Buliisa and Hoima was submitted on 9/3/2022 to Uganda Human Rights Commission. It was done with Support from TASHA RESEARCH INSTITUTE AFRICA in partnership with RAIN FOREST RESCUE .

The petition followed the arrest Maxwell Atuhura, ED Tasha who spent over 48hours in cells, closure of partner AFIEGO field Office,arrest of Joss chairperson ORGHA spent over a month in prision,confiscation of ORGHA documents,Blackmailing partner NAVODA.
